Re-Entry Transition Services

Did you know that 1 in 88 adult Delawareans is behind bars and 1 in 26 adult Delawareans is under correctional supervision? As our incarcerated population has grown, the need for prisoner reentry programs in the State of Delaware has skyrocketed.

The Elizabeth House Family Life Center offers program and services to support Prison Reentry Initiatives in the State of Delaware helping ex-offenders develop work readiness skills, reach higher academic goals, build stronger social skills and identifying critical resources that will help mitigate the risk of recidivism.

More specifically we offer the following services:

Family Support Services and Referral Program
Public Transportation Support Service
Transitional Housing Referral Service
Life Coaching Program (Adult Mentoring and Case Management)
Work Readiness and Occupational Skills Training Referral Program
Job Placement and Employment Referral Program
GED Preparation Services

The Elizabeth House Family Life Center, Inc. is a non-profit 501C (3) faith-based community development corporation (CDC) with headquarters in the Newport-Belvedere/Cedar Heights Community of New Castle County, Delaware. Although our organization emerged from a missionary vision of Elizabeth African Methodist Episcopal Church, we serve individuals and families of ALL faiths with a primary area of focus being low-to-moderate income households in the exurban communities of New Castle County.
